The Potters’ Cast #37

One day last week I was interviewed by Paul Blais of ‘The Potters’ Cast’. The podcasts are intended for pottery enthusiasts to listen to as they work in their studios. I usually listen to the radio (I know, rather old-fashioned) but if I have my iPad or MacBook with me in the studio I can click on the link and hear about others potters’ journeys.

Paul seemed interested in my work and asked questions about my training, process, books, tools and any advice for other potters. I am honoured to have been invited and I think I was honest about my career and passion for clay and birds. Sit yourself down with some clay and/or a cup of coffee if you’d like to hear my story. With some ads the podcast lasts about an hour. Luckily for me the interview was by Skype, without video, just audio! Let me know what you think.

I asked how he came to get in touch with me and Paul explained that his wife is from Victoria, BC and she wanted more Canadian potters in the series. They had found my jugbirds online. They live in Vancouver, Washington so are familiar with this Vancouver and visit Granville Island occasionally. Paul has interviewed Carole Epp of ‘Musing about Mud’ and has plans to interview other Canadian artists soon. P1010417 - Version 2
