This brief blog will simply show photos of some Raiders and their friends at the opening of the Raiders’ show. Some of us drove and took the ferry over to Bowen Island for the day and some of the guests live over there on this pretty, but accessible island. I did enjoy catching up with folks and listening to their discussions about the painted plates.
Thank you Alan for taking these photos.
As a side note, I was delighted to find a fellow pottery student (from Fred Owen/Kybor Dancer’s Douglas college classes) and later one of my glaze investigation teachers, Jeannie Sarich. She operates a pottery teaching studio in the same Artisan Square as Terminal Creek Contemporary Art Gallery.

Next blog will show some photos of our delightful post-opening gathering at the nearby ocean-side home of curator Kate Bellringer’s parents.
